Thomas Bellavia

President and Owner

Dr. Bellavia is the visionary founder of Osler Health IPA. He serves as Chairman of all Osler Health companies.

With over forty years in private practice, Dr. Bellavia has amassed numerous awards for medical excellence, achievement and community service. He has also served on public committees, including the Governors Committee on Cost Containment, Quality Assurance Committee (Gubernatorial appointment) and the Medical Assistance Advisory Council.

Dr. Bellavia has current teaching appointments at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey(Now Rutgers). He achieved the rank of Major in the US Army Medical Corps and is a president emeritus and member of the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Academy of Family Physicians as well as a member of the American Medical Association. Dr. Bellavia is a graduate of New York University, BA and the University of Rome (Italy), MD, with graduate training at the Hackensack University Medical Center, New Jersey.
Dr Bellavia serves on the U.S. House of Representatives’ National Physician’s Health Care Policy Group.


Dr. Bonvicino has been a health care innovator in New Jersey for the last 30 years.  He was a physician leader of the The Garden State Medical Group, the largest multispecialty medical practice and integrated delivery system in New Jersey, where he guided his region’s performance to clinical excellence and turned around his regions financial performance.

Dr. Bonvicino  spent approximately 15 years as a Senior Medical Director for Clinical Network Management Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey.  There he developed innovative programs for profiling physician performance as well as nationally recognized physician recognition programs.   He was hand chosen to be one of the initial employees of Horizon Healthcare Innovations (HHI), a subsidiary company of Horizon BCBS-NJ, whose mission is to develop new and innovative delivery and reimbursement pilots to drive reform.  It was in that position that he spearheaded the patient-centered medical home
(PCMH)  which led that health plans entrance into value based care. 

Dr. Bonvicino is known throughout the health care industry in New Jersey as a progressive strategic thinker.  He was a found of Osler Health Management and remains its Chief Medical Office.  Throughout his career he has championed the concepts of transformed advanced primary care and the need for coordination of care, particularly for those of greatest risks and vulnerability.
